Flood kills 55 in Niger, Adamawa, Gombe

Adamawa State government yesterday said it has terminated the tenure of local government chairmen in the state.   According to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Ahmad Sajoh, in a release dated July 31, the tenure of the chairmen started on July 30, 2016 when they were sworn in and terminated on July 17 this year.   However, the tenure of the Chairman of Lamurde and Michika Local Governments terminated on August 7 and March 6, 2019 respectively. No fewer than 12 new cholera cases have been recorded in Adamawa, the State Government announced on Thursday in Yola.
