19 children drown in Kwara boat accident

Ahmed mourns About 19 children were drowned when a boat in which they were travelling capsized at Lafiagi in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State over the weekend. Although the police said they were yet to receive an accurate figure of the incident, local sources claimed that the affected boat was conveying 22 passengers while only two were rescued. Kwara: Ahmed inaugurates N6.5bn water project for 48,000 homes

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji AbdulFattah Ahmed, yesterday inaugurated the N6.5 billion Ilorin Water Distribution Network meant to supply water to some 48,000 homes across 24 different routes in the metropolis. TSA: FG incurs N16bn cost on service charge

The Federal Government has incurred over N16 billion as service charge on Treasury Single Account (TSA) on payments to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the last two years. Going forward, government said such transaction cost would be borne by the payers.
