The Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday said it has nabbed members of the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq and those of Boko Haram planning to attack the United Kingdom and United States of America embassies in Nigeria. The Coalition of Civil Society Groups (CCSG) has urged those behind the attack on Senator Andy Uba to desist. Varsity sets up committee on staff certificates verification

The Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI) in Ebonyi State has constituted a committee on staff certificates verification. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba, while inaugurating the committee, said the move was borne out of the desire of the university Governing Council that the academic certificates of all staff members of the institution should be verified and scrutinised in order to ensure that only those qualified remain as bonafide workers of the institution.
