Eight people lost their lives yesterday while about 19 others were injured in auto crashes in Lagos and Ogun states. Five people were burnt to death yesterday while five others were injured at the popular Barracks Bus Stop, Surulere when a Volkswagen commercial bus known as Danfo caught fire while descending from the popular National Stadium Bridge on Funsho Williams Avenue. Curbing inter-security forces violent clashes

Last week, a soldier and three anti-riot policemen reportedly died during a shootout between members of the two security forces. Several others on both sides received gunshot wounds in the encounter that took place in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital. Fake JAMB registration centre discovered in Borno

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it had discovered a fake Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) centre in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. The NSCDC Commandant, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, said yesterday in Maiduguri that operators of the fake centre were defrauding applicants.
