Clearing agents are finding it difficult to take delivery of their consignments at the seaports following the breakdown of Nigeria Customs Integration System (NICIS  II) at the Tin Can Island Port command. Kwara Customs Area Command generates N1.7bn in Quarter 1

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kwara Area Command, yesterday said it has generated N1.7 billion into the coffers of the Federal Government in the first quarter of 2020. Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has intercepted 6,194 smuggled bags of rice, 33 vehicles and other contrabands worth over N382million. The seizures also include 395 kegs of vegetable oil (25 litres each), 340 kegs of petrol, 1,954 pairs of footwears and seven bales of secondhand clothing. Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘B’, has, in the last two weeks, made in around Kaduna. Among the commodities seized were vehicles, rice and vegetable oil with Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N94 million in Kaduna alone. Customs miss revenue target by N36.41bn at Lagos Port

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Apapa Command has missed its revenue target by N36.41billion between January and July, 2018. The command was given a target of N246.61billion for 2018 but it generated N210.2 billion revenue, including N343.4 million on exports as against N196.7 billion in same period of 2017.
