Edo to boost payment of workers’ salaries

Edo State government yesterday assured workers in the state that it would not default in the payment of workers’ salaries in all the 18 local government areas of the state. The assurance came following an increase in the state’s internally generated revenue (IGR) in April. Police arrest 7 kidnap suspects in Edo

The police in Edo on Wednesday in Benin disclosed that its personnel had arrested seven members of a kidnap gang. The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Johnson Kokumo, announced this at a news conference on the command’s achievements in the fight against crime. The Edo Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it apprehended 45 suspects in connection with illicit drug trafficking in the first quarter of 2018.
