An Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday remanded eight men in prison ‎over alleged membership of Eiye Confraternity secret cult. They are Babatunde Jimoh, 19; Dayo Shittu, 19; Tope Adeleye, 22; and Omowaye Rotimi, 31. Others are Ajisafe Akinola, 37; Felix Femi, 25; Oluwabusuyi Tope, 23; and Adebayo Tope, 22. The defendants, whose addresses were unknown, are facing charge of membership of Eiye Confraternity secret cult. The prosecutor, Insp. Assassins struck again late yesterday, killing another man said to be in his late thirties around Okeyinmi area of Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti State. The Director of Finance, Ise/Orun Local Government in Ekiti State, Mr. Michael Kayode Bamisaye, has allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Ado-Ekiti, capital of the state. Bamisaye, according to reports, took his own life by jumping into a well in his compound located behind Tinuola Maximum School, off Afao Road, Ado-Ekiti. It had not been established why late Bamisaye committed suicide.
