Ayodele Fayose, the immediate past Ekiti state governor, has arrived the Abuja office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in company of Rivers state governor, Nyesome Wike. Some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, including Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Deji Adeyanju, also accompanied the outspoken former governor to the anti-corruption agency’s office. Primaries: 42 senators lose return tickets

There are indications that high turnover of senators will hit the 9th Senate in 2019 as 42 of the 109 serving senators, representing 38.5 per cent failed to secure return tickets in the just-concluded nationwide senatorial primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
