Eight people lost their lives yesterday while about 19 others were injured in auto crashes in Lagos and Ogun states. Journalist with Bayelsa’s Glory FM shot dead

Gunmen yesterday killed a journalist with the Bayelsa State-owned Glory FM 97.1, Mr. Famous Giobaro. Giobaro was shot dead in his residence on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Road, Kpasia in Yenagoa, the state capital. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Asinim Butswat, said the command was yet to get the full detail of Giobaro’s killings. Manslaughter: Two vigilante operatives bag six years imprisonment

An Ogun State High Court sitting in Abeokuta on Thursday found two vigilance officers guilty of manslaughter and sentenced them to six years imprisonment.
