Boko Haram ambushes convoy, motorists, many feared dead

Boko Haram insurgents yesterday ambushed motorists and vehicles loaded with goods, including three trucks conveying relief materials to Askira/Uba and Chibok local government areas of Boko State. In the ambush, the terrorists killed scores of people, including one policeman, Sergeant Bala Tiiseh, and driver of one of the trucks conveying relief materials. Six policemen were also injured in the attack. The officers are receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. Motorists, pedestrians escape death as tanker explodes

Fire guts Ajah Police Station   Several traders, pedestrians and workers at the popular Toyota bus stop on Oshodi-Apapa Expressway had a close shave with death yesterday when a taken ferrying 33,000 litres of diesel otherwise called Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) collided with a car and exploded.
