Lagos teachers’ recruitment: 65,818 apply for 2,200 jobs

Following the closure of the online application portal for the teaching job opportunity in Lagos State on Thursday, the government has disclosed that a total of 65,818 applications were received for the 2,200 available spaces. According to a statement by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mr. Adesegun Ogundeji, the breakdown of the applications show that 44,725 applicants will compete for the 1,200 jobs in the public secondary schools category while 21,093 applied to teach in the public primary schools. Teacher arraigned for alleged defilement
