Three-storey building on fire on Ladipo Street

 

A fire outbreak at 85, Ladipo Street by Fatai Atere Road Ladipo Market since 11:00 Sunday involving a three-storey building has continued to rage till Monday morning.

According to reports, the security fortification of the building has created serious obstruction to access the building.

The building is said to have assorted Toyota auto spareparts.
The fire was said to have started at a furniture workshop behind the building with a electrical spark at about 10:45p.m.

Neighbours claimed that they were not aware that the spark could lead to a conflagration.

But by the time they realised the full extent of the fire outbreak, they could not handle it and before first responders arrived, the fire had spread to the three-storey building.

No casualties have been recorded while and operations are ongoing.

NEMA, LASEMA, State Fire and Federal Fire Services Service and Police DMU are all present at the scene.
