Two kidnappers arrested in Niger

Two notorious kidnappers terrorising parts of Niger State have been arrested by the state Police Command in Muburya Village, Mariga  Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects identified as Aliyu Sabo, 40, of Muburya, Mariga, and Abdullahi Wanzam , 45, of Biki-Banko, Washagu, Kebbi State were trailed and apprehended by a team of policemen attached to Bangi Division.

It was learnt that one Shehu Hawsawa, of Muburya village  had reported to the police that his brother, Ado Ali, of Gugu in Kwara State told him of alleged plan by some hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers to kidnap him.

The New Telegraph learnt that the suspects had been into this act for the past three years making life unbearable to the residents of Muburya village and other parts of the state.

One of the suspects, Sabo a farmer, told our Correspondent that he went into kidnapping and other related crimes in order to raise money to start up a reasonable business since he was not getting enough money from farming.
