The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), has reiterated the university’s determination to sustain its position as a leading centre of excellence in academic and research in the country and the world in general.
This was as the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun pointed out that the university would not rest on its oars in sustaining excellence in all spheres of the university development.
He, however, disclosed this while signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on affiliation agreement with the Bethel College of Education, a private institution located at Ijare in Ifedore Local Government Area of the state.
The agreement would allow the college to run its education-related courses in affiliation with the university’s Institute of Education Ajibefun further said that the institute would ensure strict compliance with the rules and ethics guiding the programmes with the aim of ensuring high quality and standard of the programmes and their graduates.
He noted that the working relationship between the two institutions would further water the agreement by providing all the needed incentives for it to grow and flourish.
Ajibefun explained that the university would diligently supervise the programmes in order to ensure compliance with best practices.
In his remarks, the Provost the college, Dr. Joseph Adamolekun, lauded the university for the partnership, and noted that the college had all relevant and necessary facilities to guarantee quality learning and academic research.
He said the agreement would further bolster the rising profile of the college and make it the preferred destination for those seeking a carrier in education and its affiliates.
