The member representing Ikwo/Ezza south federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, Tuesday doled out over N12million to 850 students in the state for their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) for this year.
Most of the beneficiaries are from his constituency.
Some officials of WAEC and the state Secondary Education Board (SEB) as well as parents of the students witnessed the disbursement of the funds to the students.
The event took place in Item-Amagu, Ikwo Local Government Area of the
state – the home town of Ogah.
Ogah, while addressing the students, said the gesture was to contribute his quota to erasing the state as educationally disadvantaged state.
He advised the students to work hard in their studies, shun cultism, examination malpractice, indecent dressing and other anti-social behavior that can affect their future, describing them as leaders of
