We are committed to making Eagles better – Eguaveon

Su p e r E a g l e s interim b o s s , Austin Eguaveon, has said the n e w t e c h – n i c a l c r e w are determined to help the team reach the next level. However, the former defender insisted that, the technical crew would need support from Nigerians to achieve its aims.

 

Gernot Rohr was fired on Sunday, and Eguaveon, Salisu Yusuf, Joseph Yobo, Alloy Agu and Paul Aigbogun were selected to lead the team, while Austin Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo bagged ambassadorial role. Speaking on the appointment, Eguaveon stated, they were all committed to task at hand, and demands maximum support from Nigerians.

 

“This is not about Eguavoen or Salisu, it is about Nigeria. The new technical crew needs prayers and support from Nigerians,” he stated.

 

“We must believe in our own and we are open to constructive criticism that will make our Super Eagles better.” he said.

 

The former Super Eagles captain is not new to the role. He helped the Super Eagles finished in third place at the 2006 AFCON finals in Egypt.
