WNT Summer Series: Falcons coach happy with outing

Super Falcons rounded off their participation at the WNT Summer Series with a 2-0 defeat to World and Olympics champions the USA at the Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, USA in the early hours of Thursday. Goals in added time of each half saw the Americans claim their sixth straight win over nine-time African champions Nigeria. Manchester United’s Christian Press gave the USA the lead in first half added time from Carli Lloyd’s assist and Press later turned provider helping Lynn Williams put the game to bed in the 94th minute. Super Falcons goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi was in fantastic form, saving impressively in both halves to keep the score respectable. The defeat means the Super Falcons ended the four-nation invitational with two defeats and a draw having lost 1-0 to Jamaica in their opening game and rallying from a two goal deficit to draw 3-3 with Portugal in their second match.
